Nordheim is located in the Heilbronn district. The municipality has approximately 7,200 inhabitants and is easily accessible by country roads.
There is a train connection between Stuttgart and Würzburg as well as regional train connections, for example, to Lauffen, Bietigheim-Bissingen, or to Bad Friedrichshall and Osterburken. Regular bus connections to Heilbronn and Brackenheim also exist. A free community bus (on Tuesdays and Thursdays) connects the town center with the train station and various shopping opportunities.
The municipality features, among other things, a heated outdoor pool, sports facilities (tennis court, equestrian center, fitness center), and a bike park. A library with an extensive selection for both young and old is located in the center of town. Hairdressers, pedicure services, physiotherapy practices, and pharmacies are also available. There is a retirement home as well as a residential park with assisted living apartments. In terms of gastronomy, there are cafés and restaurants.
A weekly market is held regularly. Numerous other shopping options (e.g., opticians, bakeries, butchers, Lidl, REWE, beverage store, direct wine sales from the producer) are available locally.
There is a nursery, several kindergartens, a sports hall, an elementary school, and the Kurt-von-Marval School (a comprehensive school) in town. Secondary schools (for example, in Lauffen) are served by school buses.
The town became known in the district for the “Blumensommer” (flower summer), during which the town hall park was extensively redesigned. Additionally, the Park Festival is held there annually. Numerous clubs are also active in the town. A gas station is also located on site.
Underfloor heating is installed in the dining room, the bathrooms on the upper floor and attic, as well as in the hobby room; almost everywhere, there are modern wooden ceilings with integrated lighting; electrically operated awnings, built-in wardrobes in the hallway and attic, plenty of electrical outlets (even by windows for decorative purposes), a new garden shed, and partial insulation of the exterior walls.
The attic could be used as an independent apartment. One wall can be removed with little effort – thereby creating a large living space with an additional bedroom and bathroom. Kitchen connections are already in place. A separate access via an external staircase would also be conceivable.
